Leah M. Forney is a Marriage & Family Therapist & Social Sciences Researcher by trade and The Culture Doctor by Choice. She is the author of highly requested book What Works For Susan Won't Work For Tameka: A Culturally Responsive Approach to Sexual Violence Prevention & Response.

She is a graduate of John Jay College of Criminal Justice where she received her bachelor's in Criminal Justice and Criminology and a graduate of Capella University where she received her master's in Marriage and Family Therapy

She holds a post-graduate certification in social and behavioral sciences research. She is a survivor of sexual and domestic violence who spent the last 12 years training teams and speaking at colleges on the impact of sexual and domestic violence on communities of color.
