The Vision Behind CCL
The Center for Cultural Leadership (CCL) is the consulting, training, and capacity-building arm of Leah M. Forney’s work.
CCL partners with nonprofits, public health departments, coalitions, higher education institutions, and survivor-serving organizations to help them strengthen their cultural responsiveness, redesign programs, and build internal capacity rooted in equity, trauma-informed practice, and survivor-centered leadership.

The Center for Cultural Leadership was created to address a critical gap in the fields of gender-based violence and public health: Organizations are being asked to serve increasingly diverse communities without the cultural understanding, leadership skills, or program structures required to do so responsibly.

Many want to improve but they simply lack the strategy, guidance, and trauma-informed support they need.

CCL exists to fill that gap by helping organizations:

• redesign programs through a survivor-centered lens
• strengthen community engagement
