About the event

Navigating Domestic Violence for Clinicians is a four-part foundational professional development series designed for therapists, counselors, social workers, psychologists, marriage and family therapists, and provisionally licensed clinicians. This series equips clinicians with the language, knowledge, and practical skills needed to recognize domestic violence, respond appropriately to disclosures, assess safety and risk, and provide survivor-centered clinical support.
Across four 90-minute live webinars, participants will explore domestic violence within the broader context of intimate partner violence, sexual violence, stalking, and other intersecting forms of abuse. Cultural responsiveness, trauma-informed practice, survivor autonomy, and clinical scope are woven throughout the entire series. Each session builds upon the previous one, moving clinicians from foundational knowledge to practical application in clinical settings.
